Short Hairstyles for Athletic Women

Short hairstyles are popular with women because of their jobs, or because they are the athletic types who compete in track and field events, especially in the short dashes like the 100 or 200-meter dash. Their coaches in these events ask their women athletes to have their hair cut short, to ensure that an otherwise long hair does not get in the way of their highly competitive sports.

Psychologically or otherwise, these athletes also think that their short styles do help them attain greater speeds in their runs during the competitions in which they participate. So, the women athletes get used to the short hair that they wear, and with the weight training they get as part of their overall upkeep as athletes, they develop some muscles, sometimes making them look more like men, than women. As telecast announcers for sports, they are much at ease having developed the lingo in this particular field over the years, even back to their student days.

Some sporting goods companies also hire the women sportscasters simultaneously as models for their sporting items. With their skills in speaking over the TV networks, these sportscasters/sports models tend to rack up huge sales of the athletic goods they advertise.

There are also some of these women athletes before who take up the coaching of younger athletes following them in their specific sports events, and earn quite an income in fees from their new calling. They become the new advocates of the short hairstyles that they recommend to the young women athletes that they are coaching, like what they had when they were running the dashes themselves.

Of course, their young wards tend to believe and develop the same belief that they can run faster with their short hairstyles.
